Montessori Discovery Garden is located in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, serving students ages 2 1/2 through 6 years old. Our school has AMI (Association Montessori International) trained teachers and a support staff of highly qualified specialists. Montessori is a unique and widely lauded educational method, created more than a century ago by an Italian physician and education visionary, Maria Montessori. The philosophy is built around the concepts of self-directed learning, mixed age level classrooms, collaboration, creativity and social responsibility. Montessori schools are found all over the world. In addition to the Montessori classroom activities our children also have enrichment classes available to them which include, music, art, yoga, Spanish, organic gardening and cooking. We are open year round, five days a week from 8am until 6pm. Children are served snacks twice a day, and organic milk at lunch, but bring their own lunches.
