Located in San Jose, Calif., Valley Christian High School offers an educational program that is incorporated into a traditional college-preparatory curriculum. It offers courses in Bible, English, fine art, math, physical education, science, social studies and technology. It also offers more than 15 advanced-placement courses and over 10 honors subjects. Additionally, the school offers a broad range of electives in multiple disciplines, including radio broadcasting, television production, graphic design, photography, journalism, life skills, jazz music, dance and stagecraft. The school has a media center that houses a computer software that allows the students to practice pronunciation through speech recognition. Its software also provides various exercises to develop better oral and written expression, comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, the school operates a discovery center program for students who have diagnosed learning disabilities. Its program offers private therapy sessions, annual testing and parent conferences.
