Founded in 2004, The New America School is a public high school that provides intensive English language instruction services to non-English speaking youths between the ages of 15 and 21. It conducts day and night classes and offers interdisciplinary learning and sheltered instruction. The school provides the Newcomer Center program for students who speak little or no English. The New America School also teaches math and science subjects. Its staff offers instructions in content-related terms and language structure, as well as works on istening, speaking, writing, reading and analyzing texts. The school has campuses in Lakewood, Northglenn and Eagle Valley, Colo. The New America School maintains a location in Denver.
