Understanding that children don't fall into only one size, Alexsander Academy tailors its curriculum and program to individual students to enrich those who have ADHD, autism, Apsergers and other disorders. This is achieved by learning the student's social, sensory, emotional, and academic needs. In addition to the academy's elementary and middle school section, also offered is middle and high school remediation, a program serving 12- to 21-year-olds to build and expand on reading and math skills, as well as a peer tutor program. Five-week summer sessions are available, as well.
The Lionheart School was established in 2000 to serve the educational needs of children with learning disabilities. The school teaches problem solving, social cognition, relationship building and abstract critical thinking. Studies include art, yoga, music, life thinking, physical education, therapeutic horseback riding, speech therapy andoccupation therapy.
