Better Basics, established in 1994, is a nonprofit United Way agency that provides reading intervention and enrichment programs in schools. Its motivators of reading enrichment program encourages fourth-graders to read for pleasure, and offers each participating class with a library with more than 50 books. The organization s schoolwide enrichment program is designed to supplement classroom activities and expand the scope of school experiences.
