About BTEE Burbank Temple Emanu El embodies the basic tenets of Conservative Judaism, yet it has a progressive feel. Services are conducted in Hebrew and in English to accommodate many levels of understanding. We have served Burbank and East San Fernando Valley since 1947 and provide a vibrant family-friendly Jewish community for all ages. With more than 125 member families, we are known for being a "haimish mishpocha, " a nurturing family. We like to say we are many generations, one family. BTEE is a full service synagogue, offering services every Friday night at 7: 30 pm and Saturday mornings at 9: 30 am in our beautiful sanctuary. Different services are guitar-accompanies, or have guest speakers. (For a full description, see our updated services schedule. ) The synagogue runs an award-winning pre-school for two to five-year-olds, a two-day a week religious school to prepare our youth for bar and bat mitzvah, confirmation classes and adult education programs. BTEE has an active social calendar as well, with many programs run by our Sisterhood and Mens Club. Those who want to help out in the community are asked to volunteer, either on behalf of the synagogue or on our Social Action Committee. We welcome and encourage new membership in our congregation.
