Montclair Community Play Center is a non-profit pre-school that has been providing services for more than 20 years. It offers a two-year program with a curriculum that consists of art projects, cooking classes, outdoor play, science, nature and carpentry projects, musicial instruments and other hands-on activities. Montclair Community Play Center also has a toddler playtime area for children ages 18 months through 36 months with 90-minute classes and summer camp programs.
Head-Royce School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school. The school offers classes and programs for students in kindergarten through 12th grade and is comprised of a Lower School, Middle School and Upper School.
The wide ranging and challenging curriculum includes studies in math, science, world languages, writing, reading, technology, music and more. Students are encouraged to participate in field trips, multimedia work and extracurricular activities. Before and after school programs are offered, as well as holiday camps.
The school has a robust athletic program, which supports basketball, volleyball, golf, track, softball, swimming and baseball teams.
