Deer Path Elementary School, part of the Cary School District, serves approximately 470 students in kindergarten through 4th grade. Students here study core classes of math, science, social sciences and language arts, but also recieve instruction in music, physical education and art. The school building, located on Crystal Lake Road next to the Cary Junior High, opened in 1998 and houses 24 classrooms, 4 kindergarten classrooms, computer rooms and other facilities.
This school also provides both gifted and special education classes. Deer Path has been granted "exempt" status by the Illinois State Assessment Program based on excellent performance for the last 2 years.
Students here start school at 8:45am and are dismissed at 2:30pm. Students who live more than 1.5 miles from the school are provided bus service. The school also provides a hot lunch program.

The school, located in a residential area on East Oriole Trail, serves about 850 5th and 6th grade students. Core programs include math, social science, language arts and science. Art, music and phyiscal education classes are also a part of the curriculum. Both gifted and special education programs are offered at Prairie Hill.
