Markham Place School serves students in grades five through eight in the Little Silver School District. The school offers a curriculum in keeping with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards, and offers students a challenging and supportive environment in which to grow and learn. The wide array of extracurricular activities and sport programs allow students the opportunity to diversify their interests and skills.
Little Silver is a Pre-K to 8 district with two schools: Point Road School serves Pre-K to 4 students and Markham Place School educates students in grades 5 through 8.
The Willow Drive office serves as a home base for the district's superintendent and business administrator and central office staff, including the accounts payable clerk.
Mastro Montessori has been open since 1968; it follows the Montessori method, which was first established by Dr. Maria Montessori. Students at this school follow this philosophical and practical approach to education. The school has many different programs they offer to children of all ages. Early Years Pre-school, located at the Embury United Methodist Church in Little Silver, is open during the week until 2:30pm. The pre-school offers classes for children ages 3 - 6, including morning and afternoon pre-k sessions, and advanced pre-k classes. The school also offers extended care for children of working parents.
