Led by Pastor Susan Nagle, Church of the Savior is a Lutheran community that boasts a state-licensed nursery school. With 350 members, the church's activities include Bible study held a few times a year and active support of food collection efforts in the community. The church's members range in age from infancy to almost a century old.
Known throughout the town as OLV, Our Lady of Visitation is a Catholic community with a congregation of about 3,800. The church has been in Paramus since the 1950s. It is led by its pastor, the Rev. Monsignor Joseph Slinger.
A division of the county government, the Department of Health enforces the laws and regulations governing the county's health. The offices of Addiction Services, the Animal Shelter and Communicable disease, among others fall under its purview. This location also offers food-handling courses for prospective restaurant workers.
Bat Torah is a Jewish high school for girls. The curriculum includes both general and Jewish studies. The school is named for a young woman who was a victim of terrorism during a year of Torah study in Israel.
The Growing Garden Nursery School operates out of two locations in Paramus. One is in the Central Unitarian Church on Forest Avenue and the other, at the Methodist Church on Paramus Road. The school teaches infants as young as 8 weeks old through private kindergarten.
Memorial is one of five elementary schools in Paramus. The school serves more than 300 students from kindergarten through grade 4.
