Boys and Girls High School (BGHS) is a public high school in Brooklyn, serving students in grades 9 through 12. The principal is Bernard Gassaway.

With an enrollment of 2,225 students, Boys and Girls High School is one of the largest high schools in Brooklyn and is the largest high school in Bedford Stuyvesant. BGHS is a well-known and beloved school in the community, referring to itself as "The Pride and Joy of Bed-Stuy." It is known for its active PTA, more than 30 student organizations and numerous sports teams. The school's sprawling track and football field and winning basketball and football teams have earned it national publicity, attracting regular coverage by The New York Daily News and ESPN.

BGHS offers free tutoring by professionals in their field, along with free workshops on financial and computer literacy for parents.

Founded in 1984, Mary McDowell Center for Learning is an independent school and resource center for children with learning disabilities. It is a nonprofit educational institution that serves more than 185 students from 5 to 14 years. The school offers an innovative program of academic work, enrichment activities and therapeutic support services.
