Mount Tom Day School is housed in a 19-room mansion formerly owned by the illustrator J.C. Leyendecker. Founded in 1955, the school provides nursery, preschool and early childhood programs. The school's grounds include a playground and an outdoor theater. Mount Tom Day School is permanently chartered by the New York State Department of Education.
Monroe College is a career-focused private college with campuses in New Rochelle and the Bronx, as well as and on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Monroe College offers "flex learning" for busy professionals and parents, through which they can take night or weekend classes that fit their schedules.
Monroe College offers associate degrees, bachelor's degrees and graduate degrees. Monroe offers financial aid and work-study programs and assists students in finding part-time jobs. The New Rochelle campus offers on-campus living in 16 dorm buildings, which collectively house 750 students. On-campus housing provides 24-hour security for students.
Monroe College is a member of the National Junior College Athletics Association and its athletics teams are the Mustangs. On-campus student groups include the National Association of Black Accountants, Monroe Cheerleaders, Monroe Dancers and Students in Free Enterprise.
The Ursuline School is a Catholic preparatory school for young women in grades six through 12. Founded in 1897, the Ursuline School provides education focused on the individual academic potential of each student. The Ursuline academic program includes English, social studies, religious studies, foreign language, mathematics, science, arts, computer applications and health. Additionally, the school provides extracurricular clubs, programs and activities, including athletic teams such as tennis, swimming, field hockey, volleyball and softball.

New Rochelle's Trinity Elementary School serves grades K-5 in the New Rochelle City School District. It was the first public school in New Rochelle. Some of the top after-school activities for kids at Trinity include band, basketball and the school newspaper.
