ENERPRO is one of the leaders in the design and manufacturing of motor and power supply control components and systems. The company specializes in power electronics control. Its product family includes low and medium voltage up to 7.2 kVAC and 20 kVDC. ENERPRO became a entered in the power electronics control industry upon its founding in 1983 and has maintained the distinction by staying on the forefront of technological advances. Its first achievement was its original product, the FCOG-6100. This three-phase thyristor firing board was the first to incorporate the companys proprietary digital LSI device and its small size helped to set an industry standard in North America. In 1985 ENERPROs president and founder Frank Bourbeau patented the companys second product, a controller that synchronizes wind turbine powered induction generators with the electric grid. More than 2,200 of these simple, effective controllers are used at wind farms in Europe, North America and Asia.
