The community center serves the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Led by project director Susan Rabinowicz, it offers a wide variety of services and programs including a daily lunch program offering glatt kosher food and follows a low salt and sugar diet. The center also offers classes on arts and crafts, quilting, stress management, exercising and games such as bingo. The center also offers day trips, and has taken groups to places such as the MoMA, Channel 13 and the Aqueduct Flea Market. The center also offers classes to help with health issues such as blood pressure monitoring and nutrition education.

The Queens Community House, located in Forest Hills, is a city-sponsored outreach center designed to give youth and seniors in the community a place to spend their days.

The center, based in a community housing lot just off of the Long Island Expressway, hosts community events, holds outreach programs and otherwise aids community cohesion.

Seniors and students alike, as well as community members interested in volunteering, can spend hours at the Queens Community House in Forest Hills, doing everything from helping complete a summer reading program to learning a new skill.
