The supermarket sells a variety of name-brand grocery items, including meats, produce, bakery items, seafood and health and beauty items. Together, the ShopRite stores form one of the largest retailer-owned cooperatives in the United States. The cooperative is comprised of 43 members who individually own and operate supermarkets under the ShopRite name. All ShopRite store owners are members of Wakefern Food Corporation, which serves as the merchandising and distribution arm of the company. Wakefern has headquarters in Elizabeth, N.J.
