Outdoor Opportunity Fund, ( founded in 1968 ) a 501c3 non-profit organization, raises funds for activities of disabled children. The fund is supported by volunteers and the parents of these special children. Through the years we have supported such programs as Special Olympics baseball, donated craft projects to the Hemophilia Association and to special education classes at camp for 400-600 children each year at D-A Scout Ranch. We also opperate a loan closet In recent years, the balance of funds raised by Outdoor Opportunity Fund have provided a nature trail that has a fishing pier, viewing decks, nature shelters and a 115 bridge across a marsh area thad is accessible for those with disabilities. We are now in the process of building a handicap accessible observatory.
