Established in 1950, Crippled Childrens Society of Orange County works to provide therapy services for children. It supports a therapy-based development program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 3 years who have been diagnosed with developmental delay. The society undertakes developmental evaluations, individualized program plans, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and adapted aquatic and social services. Crippled Childrens Society of Orange County is owned and operated by the Rehabilitation Institute of Southern California, which serves persons with functional disabilities caused by birth defect, disease, medical conditions and accidents. The institute is a nonprofit is a nonprofit organization that receives its support from voluntary organizations, bequests, special gifts, fees for service, and grants. The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern California also supports a child development program and an early learning center.
