The YMCA is a nationwide community organization with a location based on East 31st Street in La Grange. The nonprofit organization offers numerous programs and activities for kids, teens and adults in the community, including health programs, fitness programs, athletic leagues, sports programs, special camps, child care and much more. Joyful Again! is a volunteer organization for those who have been widowed. What began in 1986 in the Chicago area has now spread to other states as well. According to one volunteer, the organization offers 8 to 10 two-day retreat workshops every year in the Chicagoland area sponsored by various churches and hospitals.
