Established in 1980 and located in Akron, Ohio, Akron UMADAOP offers alcoholism and drug abuse outreach programs, meeting the substance abuse education, prevention and treatment needs of African and Hispanic Americans throughout the state of Ohio. It offers various treatment programs, such as case management, day intensive outpatient, evening intensive outpatient, Saturday intensive outpatient program, group and individual counseling, and after care and continuing care services. The center provides a variety of support groups, for men, women, families, and HIV and AIDS patients. Akron UMADAOP offers programs, designed for youth from six to seventeen years of age. The programs provide education, awareness and early intervention techniques to youth, assisting them in taking decisions. In addition, youth are provided with personal development, leadership skills, training and recreational events. The center is approved by Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Heathcare Organizations.

Supported by Info Line, Lifeline serves in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark and Trumbull counties in Ohio. Info Line provides a 24-hour community information and referral service. Established in 1975, Info Line is a nonprofit organization that provides access human services. The organization supports various programs, such as child care connection and medical assistance. It is funded by the United Way, Area Agency on Aging, and Summit County Department of Job and Family Services. Info Line is affiliated with the Ohio Association of Non-Profit Organizations and the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems.
