AIDS Care Ocean State is one of the largest providers of direct-care services to people suffering from HIV and AIDS. It provides housing, case management, medical and nursing care and prevention services to people of all ages who are affected by and are at risk for HIV infection. Its Street Outreach program provides education about HIV and AIDS, including referral cards with information about drug counseling, HIV testing, needle exchange, shelters and other services that the people at risk may need. It has more than 80 apartments for the patients and its Sunrise House is a licensed assisted living establishment in Rhode Island. AIDS Care is located in Providence, R.I.
