Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1910. It has one of the Midwests largest staff of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, educators and clergy. Pine Rest offers inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, outpatient counseling through its clinic network, residential services, home health care and consultation liaison between psychiatry and psychology. Pine Rest consists of more than 18 outpatient clinics in Michigan and Iowa, all of which provide individualized and group therapy for people of all ages and all levels of need. Pine Rest clinicians offer therapeutic services for behavioral health problems across the continuum of care, all within a Christian framework. In 1998, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, Metropolitan Hospital, and Saint Mary s Health Care entered into a joint venture to provide day treatment and inpatient hospitalization. Pine Rest is also a well-respected teaching facility. It is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich.
