Denise Trease provides therapy based on 17 years of private practice experience. She uses a number of different treatments to achieve your personal goals. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a research based treatment that develops strategies to change negative thought patterns. Attention is also focused on emotional responses so that managing these reactions becomes possible while leaarning to calm and soothe oneself even under pressure. The alpha-stim is a non-drug treatment that research shows is more effective in treating depression and anxiety than medication. The practice of mindflness, biofeedback and guided imagery aid in developing these skills for living well.
These techniques have been effective in treating anxiety (including post traumatic stress disorder) and depression. Successful outcomes have been achieved in helping people of all ages manage everyday stress reactions as well as relationship and communication problems.
