Best and worst time to go to the Phoenix Art Museum
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are the best days to visit the museum. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Must see/do at the Phoenix Art Museum
The Thorne Rooms are a must see for any visitor. Created by Narcissa Niblack Thorne, the collection is comprised of miniature replicas of historical buildings from all over the world. Clothing lovers and designers will enjoy perusing the museum's fashion collection, while kids can test their own artistic skills in the PhxArtKids gallery.

Admission to the Phoenix Art Museum
Admission is free for kids six and under. Students and seniors are eligible for a discount and members of the general public pay around $15.

Parking and public transportation to the Phoenix Art Museum
For easiest access to the museum take the west bound light rail to the Central Ave. and McDowell stop. The Phoenix Art Museum is on the east side of the street, just north of the CVS pharmacy. If driving, take Central Avenue to 1625 N. and turn east. The museum parking lot is spacious and easy to access.

Food at the Phoenix Art Museum
The Phoenix Art Museum is home to Palette Restaurant, a casual American eatery. Plates range in price, but most dishes fall in the $10 and $20 range. Palette hosts brunch on Sundays and occasional wine tastings on First Fridays.

Insider tip for visitors to the Phoenix Art Museum
Wednesdays from 3 to 9 p.m. and First Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m. are considered voluntary donation time. This means admission to the museum is free to the general public. Special exhibits are not included.
