Skate One Corporation provides online sales of the Powell, Powell Peralta, Powell Classic, Bones, Mini-Logo and Surf One brands of skateboarding equipment. The brands are subsidiaries of Powell Peralta, a skateboarding company that was originally founded in 1976 as the Powell Corporation. The brands manufacture and market complete skateboards, decks, trucks, wheels, bearings, skateboard accessories, branded apparel, compact discs that contain primarily compilations, digital videodiscs containing skateboarding footage and books pertaining to skateboarding. In addition, the brands assemble teams of skateboarders who compete in national and international competitions. The skateboarders often receive product sponsorships. Skate One is headquartered in Goleta, Calif.
