The Aikido Center of Los Angeles is dedicated to practicing Aikido and Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido as traditional Japanese martial arts. It offers many classes for men, women and children. The Holmby Park Lawn Bowling Club is the only lawn bowling club in Los Angeles, with more than eighty years of history. The club house and greens are located on the east end of Holmby park, managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation. More than 150 members participate in the club, which hosts tournaments and events regularly. The greens are available for use on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 12pm and 3pm. New members receive free lessons.
Two greens sit on either side of the clubhouse, one named for Dorothy Cella and built in 1971, and the other is named for Marcellus L. Joslyn, a business man and philanthropist who supported the club and many other organizations in Southern California. Both widely practiced forms of martial arts, Gracie Jiu Jitsu and karate follow the traditional styles. Hollywood Soo Bahk Do belongs to the International Karate Federation and the National Gracie Jiu Jitsu Association, two very prestigious karate organizations. Head instructor Christian Naggiar is a 5th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor in the Art of Soo Bahk Do Karate. He also holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Korean Karate and he is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Certified Instructor.
Sunset Ranch is located on Beachwood Drive, high up in the Hollywood Hills, under the iconic Hollywood sign. It consists of 52 miles of horseback riding trails in Griffith Park. Services include hourly horse rentals, lunch and dinner rides, lessons and sales. Discount cards for $2 off per hour are available. A single discount card is valid for an entire party. All riders must be at least eight years old and less than 240 pounds. Sunset is also a full boarding facility.

It is on Eagle Rock Boulevard in between York Boulevard and Avenue 45, and it is adjacent to a popular Chinese food restaurant. Besides bowling, there is a bar, video games, televisions and pool tables. There are frequently live music performances as well. It makes itself available for private parties, and food can be ordered from the adjacent Red Dragon restaurant. It is open late, so bowlers can drink, eat, bowl and have a good time through the night. It is open every day of the week, and there is a large private lot adjacent to the building.

The Los Angeles Country Club was founded more than 100 years ago and is known as one of the most exclusive clubs in the world.
