The Ski & Scuba Connection offers scuba diving instruction for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Programs are offered at the recreational to professional level. Students can potentially acquire skills to qualify as an assistant instructor. Special programs include nitrox, wreck, deep, night, search and recovery, photo, underwater hunter, dry suit, underwater navigator, drift diver, boat diver, underwater videographer, diver propulsion vehicle, and equipment specialist. Current and prospective students can book their classes online. The store carries a variety of sporting apparel and diving gear.
The mission of the Greenwich Boat and Yacht Club hasn't changed since its founding in 1938. To this day, the club actively promotes yachting and boating by maintaining related facilities for members and supporting the development of boating and harbor facilities in the town.
About 285 members belong to the club, which is located on Grass Island on the banks of Greenwich Harbor.
The GBYC sponsors the Greenwich High School Sailing team and serves as the meeting location for the Captain Harbor Power and Sail Squadron.
The town-owned clubhouse can accommodate 180 people and is available for rental to GBYC members who have been active at least six months and only during off-boating season of November 1 through May 15.

Allegra Dance Studio, established in 1972, offers instruction for serious students of dance as well as recreational enthusiasts. Classes in ballet, point, jazz, tap, ballroom dancing, modern and hip-hop are given by a staff of professional dancers, as well as karate and Tai Chi. "Fancy Dancy Feet" classes are for 3- to 7-year olds. Allegra has three large dance studios.
The Round Hill Club is a private country club in northern Greenwich, best known for its 18-hole regulation golf course. The course, which was built in 1924 by Walter Travis, has since been renovated and now features four sets of tee boxes for golfers of varying skill levels. The club also includes dining facilities, a fitness center, a pool, paddle courts and both outdoor and indoor tennis courts.
Cho's offers taekwondo classes for all ages with pee wee, children, teen-adult and demo team programs. It also has a Kum Ye Do (Korean sword martial art) for teens and adults. See the Web site for classes, belt testing and tournament schedules, and to sign up for a free trial class.
The Greenwich Polo Club has served the Northeast area since its inception in 1981. The club plays host to numerous USPA high-goal polo matches on Sundays in June, July and September. Its corporate offices are located on the third floor of the professional building at 80 Field Point Road.
The Stanwich Club opened in 1964, the result of a population boom that put pressure on the Round Hill Club's waitlist and a devastating fire that ripped through the Greenwich Country Club clubhouse. The two local clubs joined in the effort of purchasing land for this private country club. Local architect William Gordon and his son, David, designed the famous 18-hole Stanwich golf course.
Today, the club has about 500 members. In addition to the 18-hole, 7133-yard golf course, the club features a swimming pool, paddle and tennis courts and both casual and fine dining.
A number of club facilities including the Gazebo, Oak Room and main dining room are available for rent, provided the client gets sponsorship from a member.
In business for more than 20 years, this pro shop is conveniently located at the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course, Greenwich's only public course. In addition to selling clothing and supplies, "the Griff" rents clubs and carts ($29 for 18 holes and $20 for 9 holes) and arranges for lessons with Joe Felder, the staff pro. Look for the shop's entrance through the white Doric colonnade.
Field Club of Greenwich is a large indoor facility with a tennis court, clubhouse and restrooms. It is in a grey building set below the road, accessible via a downhill driveway which wraps around the building. Large skylights in the roof help to illuminate the court.
Founded by certified strength and conditioning coach Rick Stebbins, this sports performance center and fitness facility is open to trainers, individual clients, sports teams and corporate clients. It features state-of-the-art exercise equipment and offering personal training, physical therapy and weight training services. C4 Training LLC offers private and small-group fitness training for specific sports. Trainers draw from various disciplines to design personal regimens. The gym also offers strength and conditioning programs for high school and college athletes during the summer.
The Greenwich Pilates Center offers one-on-one fitness and Pilates training sessions. Located on Greenwich Ave between Starbucks and Colony Florists, the facility utilizes the Gyrotonic exercise system to help clients stretch and strengthen their muscles and tendons, while improving overall coordination and physical fitness levels. The center works with elite athletes, customers looking to improve their general health and fitness and those in need of rehabilitation from injury or surgery.
The Yoga Center is located below Kate's Paperie. The studio is run by instructors Toni Goodrich and Heather Trzuskowski ,who have forty-five years of experience between them. The Yoga Center specializes in Hatha Yoga.
Named after the many Tamarack trees indigenous to the area, Tamarack County Club is a private golf and country club located in the town's rural backcountry. Its history dates to 1909, when the club operated as the Port Chester Country Club. In 1928, when the town was seeking land for the New York High School, the club moved to Greenwich, where it opened its clubhouse on the site of the former Griffen Farm in 1929.
The club has changed quite dramatically since then. It now boasts an 18-hole, 6834-yard golf course, artificial lakes, numerous dining facilities, tennis courts and a swimming pool. Some club facilities including the dining room and outdoor portico are available for rental, provided sponsorship of a member. The Belle Haven Club, founded in 1889, is a private beach club located on the southernmost tip of Greenwich, overlooking Captain Harbor. Some 315 families belong to the seasonal club, which features a stretch of sandy beach, a bar and dining facilities, sailing programs, tennis courts and a swimming pool. Members can take part in water polo, swimming, diving and summer camp during the summer months. Junior sailing is available to sponsored non-members.
The Griffith E. Harris Golf Course is the town's only municipal golf course. Membership is open to all interested Greenwich residents. The Department of Parks and Recreation oversees operation of the 18-hole golf course, which was designed by Robert Trent Jones and dedicated in 1965. Members can rent equipment and carts at the Pro Shop. In addition to the course, the facility features a driving range with 14 stations for hitting balls, two putting greens and a practice chipping area, which includes a practice bunker.
Indoor and patio dining is available at Fairways at the Griff; the snack bar window offers fast-food service. Membership application forms are available at the Griffith E.
