Since 1997 Miss Deb and staff have been teaching youngsters to dance. All That Jazz is just right for kids as they learn and progress through the art of moving their bodies to music. Featuring jazz, tap, ballet, modern and more, All That Jazz offers group and individual instruction.
Creative Steps Dance Studio offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop for students of all ages. This studio believes in the unifying quality and universality of dance. Classes are taught in a lax and fun environment to encourage students' creativity. Classes are available at preschool, child, teen and adult levels. Each course culminates in a year-end recital. Creative Steps Dance Studio offers affordable monthly tuition ranging between $34 and $48 for 45-minute to two-hour long weekly classes. This hidden gem, just off California Street and tucked behind Phillip Rand Company, is built to bring out the dancer in all of us. Instructors Peter Kornel Kovacs and Marisa Noelle Panos have built a program that encourages style, confidence and fun. They have programs for adults, teens and children. Social and competitive instruction is available.
Have fun while you get healthy and fit. Jazzercise is a combination of jazz dance, resistance training, pilates, yoga and kickboxing to a variety of music - top 40, jazz, country, funk and classics. Sixty-minute classes are offered seven days a week at staggered times from 6am to 7:30pm. Jazzercise circuit training and body sculpting classes are also offered. Founded in 1897 as a nine hole golf course and expanded in 1920 to 18 holes, Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is a public course open seven days a week. There are changing rooms and showers, a pro-shop and restaurant offering sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, grilled chicken and beverages. There is an outdoor patio for dining that overlooks the 18th hole. Private and group lessons are offered to children, adults and seniors. Newton Commonwealath Golf Course is also available for company, club, family and other group outings. Join their birthday club and get a free round of golf.
