The Tom Bates Regional Sports Complex is a community athletic facility located in Albany. With the closing of the Bay Meadows Race Track in 2008, Golden Gate Fields is the only major horse racing track in Northern California. The Track has a long and illustrious history in the annals of horse racing and first opened in 1941.
