Nothing But Hoops specializes in providing basketball and volleyball programs to children. It also offers camps, tournaments and adult leagues. Contrary to its name, a wide array of sports are offered at the indoor facility including soccer, baseball, flag football, dodge ball and kickball.
Nothing But Hoops has been involved with sports on the peninsula for years, and, in 2001, became the first peninsula business to offer sports-themed birthday parties. Now it offers several tiers of birthday party packages, including an "Extreme Birthday Package," which includes pizza and 15 take-home balls to use as party favors.
Private classes for a minimum of six children are also offered.
The Peninsula Tennis Club was formed in 1933 and incorporated in 1971. Three individual courts are available for club members to schedule for playing tennis, taking lessons and participating in competitions. 1st String Athletics is an athletic performance facility located in Burlingame. The facility includes a general fitness center geared towards athletes, personal training services and fitness classes. It hosts an array of sports clinics for adults and children, such as basketball and volleyball camps, team sports training, dance classes, weightlifting classes and agility performance training. 1st String Athletics is staffed by college-level coaches.
Golden Stars Driving School gives new drivers the knowledge and experience they need to earn their licenses. Potential students must complete an online course before signing up for classroom study and at least six hours of behind-the-wheel training. Both classroom and in-car sessions last two hours. Instructors pick up and drop off students from the driving lessons. Golden Stars teaches many Burlingame High School students, as well as some students from the surrounding area.
The Burlingame Sports Center is an indoor gym with three regulation-sized hardwood courts for basketball and volleyball. It has several programs and activities for players of all ages, including youth basketball and volleyball clinics, clubs, camps and parties. There's tons to choose from, so it's usually busy on weekday afternoons. Clubs include volleyball for players ages 10 to 16, a basketball league for boys and girls in kindergarten through fourth grade, basketball summer camps for boys and girls grades one through 12, futsal (an indoor variation of soccer), football conditioning and children's fitness classes.
The facility also has an arcade, party rooms and a snack bar. It is available to rent for dances, corporate events and other private functions.

Burlingame High School is a public high school that is part of the San Mateo Union High School District. It serves students in grades 9 to 12 and offers classes in English, performing arts, health, math, science, world languages and special education. The school is headed by Principal Chris Holleran.

The Burlingamer is a multi-use athletic facility specializing in soccer, softball, baseball and futsal (a form of indoor soccer) training, but can also accomodate other sports. It features two indoor standard futsal courts, two indoor baseball/softball training fields and four pitching and hitting lanes, as well as a conference room and more. The Burlingamer also hosts adult and youth sports leagues, lessons, clinics and camps, and the space may also be rented for parties and private events.
