Visit Kids First Swim School in Severna Park for year-round warm water swimming instruction and programs. It is located at Robinson's Crossing near the Food Lion. It offers one-on-one swimming lessons for ages beginning at 2 years of age. Group swimming lessons begin at 3 years of age. Join the popular Mommy & Me program for parents of toddlers and infants to explore skills of buoyancy, propulsion and breath control. For the advanced swimmer, competitive stroke mechanics are available at the high school and college level. Other programs include water aerobics and warm water therapy for adults, family swim nights and weekend birthday splashes are also available for schedule.
SPY Aquatics offers a well-rounded exercise program for children and adults looking to move either in the water or on the ground. SPY's talented swim team competes locally, regionally and nationally. It is also a little known fact that SPY is home to a Masters Swim Team.
The qualified pool staff provides certifications for scuba diving; swimming lessons; and offers a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training program.The swimming pool is a hub of activity year round with a variety of family-oriented fun programs for ages six months and up. Passes are available for all of the programs, including the warm therapy pool. There is a weight room featuring new treadmills, an elliptical machine and a recumbant bike. The pool can also be rented out for birthday parties and other community or school gatherings.
Learn to Drive is a driving school created by former police Sgt. Joe Campbell. His goal was to use his experience in the police force to make a program that would be relatable to his generally young students. The classes consist of educational videos, tests and driving time. Campbell wanted to be sure his students were as comfortable as possible, so he chose vehicles that they wouldn't mind being seen in or vehicles that are familiar to them.
The course requires 30 hours of class time, 6 hours behind the wheel and then, once class has ended, 60 logged hours behind the wheel with a licensed driver in the car.
Learn to Drive is located in the Benfield Village Shopping Center, tucked away in a pass-through. Just look for the Szechuan Inn restaurant.

The Severna Park Community Center is a nonprofit organization that houses a gym, a volleyball court, a swimming pool, several sitting lounges and various other spaces for community use. Located in a former YMCA building, the center offers room and space rentals for private events as well as classes and community programs. The center also hosts various free events, such as free flu shots and a health fair, as well as quarterly American Red Cross blood drives. The organization receives no government funding and operates solely on private donations and event and class fees. There is no membership charge.
