One of nine District Enforcement Offices placed throughout the state, the bureau conducts operations involving underage buyers who test whether those who are licensed to sell alcohol do so legally.
The bureau also enforces the ban on bringing alcohol into the state from neighboring ones, investigates nuisance bars, violations of the Clean Indoor Air Act (which prohibits smoking in restaurants, bars, private clubs and portions of casino floors) and investigates complaints of illegal gambling.
