The Division for Aging Services, located in Las Vegas, is a part of the Department of Health and Human Services. It provides advocacy, assistance, information and referrals to senior citizens in Nevada. The division develops, coordinates and delivers a comprehensive support service system for senior citizens. The Division for Aging Services operates offices in Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City and Elko, Nev., and has more than 200 employees. The division provides personal attendants who assist senior citizens in bathing, dressing, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping and shopping. It also provides nutrition counseling and information to underprivileged individuals.
