Established in 2000, the Central Violation of Probation Center, also known as CVOP, is a residential facility that provides substance abuse treatment services. Located in Smyrna, Del., the center administers the Crest program, which includes drug and alcohol treatment services. The Central Violation of Probation Center offers evaluation and counseling services. The center houses offenders who have violated the terms of their probation. In addition, it participates in various community service projects that benefit churches, nonprofit organizations, and senior citizens and recreation centers. The Central Violation of Probation Center provides employment assistance services. The center is a part of the Delaware Department of Correction, which supervises more than 7,000 inmates in its prisons.
