Located in Butler, Ind., Steel Dynamics, Flat Roll Division is a part of Steel Dynamics and manufactures a wide variety of products. The division operates more than two finishing facilities in Indiana. It manufactures various types of steel, including pickled, cold-rolled, galvanized and painted flat-roll steels. Its parent company, Steel Dynamics, is one of the largest producer of carbon steel products. Founded in 1993, the company operates more than five electric-furnace minimills and has over 3,500 employees. It manufactures engineered bar products, flange beams, rails and flat-rolled steel. It also operates a fabrication company, New Millennium Building Systems, which produces joists, girders and decking for nonresidential construction projects.
