The Southside Deli has served up soups and sandwiches to Sarasota residents for more than 11 years. The Southside Deli features a drive-through window for customers on the go, as well as dine-in service for those seeking to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
Though the service is fast, Southside Deli isn't typical fast food. The bread is baked on site every morning, the sandwiches feature Boars Head cold cuts and all of the soups are made fresh daily. After lunch menu items include homemade gelato, soft-serve ice cream and a variety of cakes, pies and cookies.
Subway is a national chain restaurant that serves submarine-style sandwiches, salads, pizza, fresh-baked cookies and more. The restaurant is located in Siesta Key Village and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Downtown Sarasota's Main Bar and Sandwich Shop was established by retiring circus performer Antonio Borza in 1958. The trampoline artist and his wife, Thea (who was a bareback horse rider in the circus), operated the bar and diner until 1972. Over the course of those 14 years, Antonio and Thea adorned the walls of the establishment with pictures and memorabilia from their time in the circus. Those pictures and memorabilia still hang on the walls today, a reminder of the legacy left in Sarasota county by the Ringling Brothers Circus.
Main Bar and Sandwich Shop serves 50 different sandwiches.
