Junod cofounded West Cliff Surfboards in 1970, and has shaped for Lightning Bolt, Dick Brewer and Surfline Hawaii retail shops in Honolulu.

Ward Coffey Shapes is a locally based company that sells handmade custom surfboards and other surf craft. The shop is named after owner Ward Coffey, who is an innovator in his field. Coffey shapes his durable, lightweight boards out of eco-friendly expanded polystyrene, or EPS. Coffey says he eschews the mass market model and takes time to listen to his customers, pay special attention to detail and treat people the way they want to be treated.
