Some of the changes have been well-publicized such as the new standard deduction, limitation on casualty losses, limitation on state and local taxes, and the elimination of the misc deduction. Others are less well known like the “Kiddie Tax” and the 529 College Savings Plans. We, here at Kelly Tax Pros, have studied the new laws and spend a lot of time understanding how they will impact everyday taxpayers.
