In operation for more than 30 years, Film Independent is a nonprofit organization that helps independent filmmakers to make films. The organization offers cameras and casting rooms on a rental basis. It has a resource library with computers, sample budget, business plans and film periodicals. Film Independent also organizes talent development programs for film writers, directors and producers.
