Performances are 3 times a year and additional Valley Youth Theatre events throughout the season may occur. Members focus on developing characterization, story building, and thinking-on-your-feet skills. Acting Technique - Ages 7-11 March 21 - May 9, 2018| Wednesdays 5pm - 6:20pm *Cost: $165 | 8 weeks | Showcase TBA Students build their performing arts foundation by studying the fundamentals of acting including voice, movement, characterization, and stage direction. No prior experience is necessary. Acting OUT - Ages 12-17 March 21 - May 9, 2018 | Wednesdays 6:40pm - 8pm *Cost: $165 | 8 weeks | Showcase TBA Students will gain valuable performance training through creating and performing scenes, Improvisations and monologues. They will work with classical, contemporary, and original scripts. Experience is welcome, but not necessary. No experience is necessary. Play Pretend - Ages 3-4 March 17 - May 5, 2018 | Saturdays 10am - 10:45am | *Cost: $115 8 weeks | Showcase TBA This class is specially designed for your little tyke! Students will learn how to use their body, voice and imagination to bring a familiar story to life on stage which will be performed for family and friends the last day of class. No experience is necessary. Just Dance! Ages 12-17 Spring Session: March 22 - May 10, 2018 | Thursdays 5pm - 6:20pm *Cost: $165 | 8 weeks | Showcase TBA This energetic and fun class teaches actors the essentials of dance including lingo and movement. Learn various styles of choreography and build the confidence and skills needed for a musical audition. No prior dance experience is necessary.
