Holiday House of Manitowoc County promotes advancement of individuals who are affected by disability and handicaps. Based in Manitowoc, Wis., the organization offers a wide range of programs and services for individuals with disorders and handicaps. Its work services program offers individuals with an opportunity to earn wages while working towards vocational and personal goals. The participants in the program perform a variety of work assignments obtained through contracts with area businesses. The organization s production facility manages a variety of operations, such as assembly, packaging, collating, hose reel construction, labeling, painting, riveting, shrink wrapping, skin packaging, wiring and wood fabrication. Its community employment services program offers functional assessment and planning for individuals, including job development and placement, ongoing training, job redesign, and modification and adaptation to equipment and materials. The center also offers a hearing loss program. Its special services include music therapy, and young at heart and job clubs.
