The Freud Playhouse is an event venue and performance space which is part of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. It has a seating capacity of 586, three different pit and stage extension options and posesses an expansive proscenium stage. It is available for rental.
Highland Cultural Center is located just off of Figueroa Street on N. Avenue 56 in the community of Highland Park. This neighborhood resource, which has been in operation since 1922, rents out its banquet halls for large scale special events and parties, filming and production, live music events, workshops and seminars.
The Center Theatre Group is a non-profit group that holds performances at the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum and the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Performances have included "Mary Poppins," "Anything Goes" and "Red." Artistic director Michael Ritchie has started multiple theatre programs for area youth.
