Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau is a private nonprofit membership corporation. It is the official tourism promotion agency for the city of Philadelphia, and the primary sales and marketing agency for the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The bureau has departments dedicated to the multicultural, sports and life sciences markets, and focuses on increasing the regions hotel occupancy and revenues. Through its programs and services the bureau supports the regions arts and entertainment, historic, cultural, retail, restaurant, and sports venues. Located in Philadelphia, the bureau works toward attracting ethnically diverse regional, national and international convention and tourism customers through creative sales, marketing and communications efforts.
