Westar Marine Services provides a variety of specialized services to San Francisco maritime customers. The company s services include water taxi service, store delivery, tanker escort, barge escort, ship assist and construction support, anchor handling and warehouse services. Its fleet is comprised of 10 tugboats, five water taxis, one molasses barge and several flat deck barges. The company was established in 1976, and in 1997, relocated from pier 46B to pier 50c to make room for the new San Francisco Giants ballpark. Westar offers service 24 hours a day, seven days of the week.
