Founded in 1967, Springfield Technical Community College enrolls more than 5,900 students from western Massachusetts. The college offers career programs in the fields of business, engineering, liberal arts, and science and technology. Its campus spreads across an area of over 30 acres and includes a library that houses a variety of educational books and materials. The college provides education in the areas of biotechnology, nursing, social science, robotics, humanities and mathematics. Springfield Technical Community College offers cultural and social activities, as well as operates business, medical assistant and ski clubs. It provides membership opportunities for the Alpha Beta Gamma International Business Honor Society. The college offers soccer, wrestling, basketball, softball, hockey and volleyball, as well as counseling services.
