Established in 1962, KLRN-TV Channel 9 public television station that offers a variety of educational and informative programs and shows for viewers in more than 30 counties in Texas. The channel serves residents throughout south-central Texas. It broadcasts programs 24 hours a day KLRN Encore, V-me and Create. KLRN-TV Channel 9 broadcasts programs, such as The Pursuit of Happiness, The Itchy Tag, How Credit Affects Your Life, The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma, Wai Lana Yoga and Curious George. It operates various production studios that can accommodate up to 100 people and feature rear-screen projection systems. The channel works in partnerships with businesses, organizations and individuals and offers sponsorship opportunities. KLRN-TV Channel 9 is operated by the Alamo Public Telecommunications Council.
