He established a tavern, The Black Dog, which eventually grew into a restaurant, bakery and general store. The Black Dog is now in Annapolis, as part of the extension of the chain into major sailing capitals of the country. The store features durable, sporty clothing for men, women and kids, accessories for dogs and housewares, all featuring the famous "black dog" logo.
