The Animal Dermatology Center of Studio City is located within a large building along Ventura Boulevard. The Animal Emergency Centre is located on Ventura Boulevard (between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Colfax Ave) in Studio City. Chow Bella is located on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. A day care pet spa for dogs and cats, Chow Bella offers daily, overnight or monthly day care including pet pick-up and delivery. The spa prides itself in pampering pets and making them feel loved. Grooming services include a luxurious bath with choice of eight different botanical shampoos and conditioners, professional cut or shave, ear cleaning, nail cutting pedicure with nail polish and thorough cleaning. The spa also provides anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, brushing and scaling. And when the grooming is over, the pets can enjoy nice munchies from the day care spa bakery.
THE RESCUE TRAlN is a unique, 501(c)(3) non- profit, no-kill organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and euthanasia through hands-on rescue work, education and awareness.
How We Started
As a child I never said, "When I grow up I want to run an animal rescue." So how did I end up dedicating my adult life to saving dogs and cats from euthanasia, and placing them into loving homes? It started when I visited a Los Angeles city animal shelter. A shelter worker informed me that a large number of adoptable dogs and cats were euthanized every week because they had too many animals and not enough homes. I remember standing in the loud, overcrowded kennel looking into all the dogs' scared eyes and my heart just broke. Their faces haunted me and I could not turn my back on them.
By the year 2000 I was running a small animal rescue. Every day I would get phone calls from Good Samaritans who had found lost or stray animals. Little did I know that one day when I picked up the phone and heard a voice on the end of the line say "Hi, this is Delilah Loud" that my life was forever changed. Not only did Delilah find two animals that needed help but she also offered TO help. That's the day The Rescue Train rolled onto the tracks. She became my partner in rescue and friend for life.
Who We Are Today
Delilah and I used our strengths to build The Rescue Train into a unique, non-profit 501(c) 3, no kill organization supported by hundreds of creative and dedicated volunteers. Together it is our mission to reduce the number of animals entering shelters by doing hands-on rescue work and creating unique programs and solutions; including our highly successful "Trained for Life" program where shelters dogs are completely obedience trained prior to adoption, and our annual "Race for the Rescues" which funds and supports many other important animal welfare organizations. Our organization is committed to educating our community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
Why We Do It
We do it because pet overpopulation is a national crisis that affects our communities and our hearts. Each year millions of adoptable animals are killed in the United States. How we live with animals is a reflection of our country as a whole. .. "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." Ghandi.

We do it with love, sacrifice and the knowledge that in a sophisticated and affluent city such as Los Angeles, with so many animal lovers, there is no need for this great amount of suffering these animals face each day.

Studio City Animal Hospital is a veterinary practice located on Ventura Boulevard (between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Colfax Avenue) in Studio City. Catering to cats, dogs, birds and exotic animals, the 40-member support team is there to assist in keeping critters healthy and to ensure they life long, happy lives. Services include dental care, surgical procedures, radiology, ultrasound, laparoscopy, full laboratory service, grooming, boarding and day care. The practice is headed by Dr. Clyde Pitts and seven other highly experience veterinarians, and the center has comfortable waiting rooms.
Four Paws Day Care offers boarding, grooming, toys and training for dogs. Featuring a large, cage-free facility, Four Paws also provides a viewable playroom where owners can check in on their pets online.

Tully-La Bounty Veterinary Clinic is located on Ventura Boulevard between Radford Avenue/Ventura Place and Carpenter Avenue in Studio City. Dr. Tully and Dr. La Bounty are specialists in "ear cropping" puppies like Dobermans, Great Danes and Pitbulls. The word is on the street that its work is "precise and perfect." Rusty's Discount Pet Center is located on Ventura Blvd. near Colfax Ave., Studio City. Rusty's supplies the pets of the Valley with quality merchandise at the lowest possible prices, providing a fun, happy, safe and animal-friendly environment for services and supplies. Services include professional grooming seven days a week, an inexpensive Pet Wash and Express Wash service and clinics for shots and teeth-cleaning. Supplies for dogs, cats, birds and small animals include food, health aids, toys, treats, collars, leashes, beds and carriers. Carry-out service is available from Rusty's friendly staff.
