Shaw High School is an educational institution for grades 9-12 in the Cleveland area. There are a number of athletics teams available for students to join, as well as extracurricular activities, such as the marching band, the JROTC, the school newsletter and the mock trial team. Weekly lunch menus are available on the Shaw High School website, as well as links to each teacher's individual website. The school also offers technical education in such fields as automotive technology, cosmetology, criminal justice, culinary arts, health science, marketing education and firefighting training.
The Mentor Campus of the Brown Aveda Institute has been granted accreditation through the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. Like its sister campus in Rocky River, besides classroom learning, the Mentor Campus offers client services and a retail center. Walk-ins are welcome during institute hours. Services, completed by students, include hair styling, texturizing and coloring. Other services include scalp, nail and facial treatments, waxing and relaxation massage.
