Allen began his journey in the plumbing trade in Santa Barbara, California where he received his apprenticeship in the early 1970s. With family here in Central Florida, he made the decision to move his growing family back home. It was difficult for Allen to work for other companies as he had a high standard and training in what a service company should do for the customers. No one ran their company like the one he came from in California. With a will to succeed and a lot of hard work, he built a company that stands on honesty and integrity placing the needs of his customers 1st.Allens Plumbing Inc. quickly became a family affair. Allens wife took care of the books and answered the phone day and night. With an expanding business, the family home and garage was quickly too small to house a business. It was at this point that Allen decided to move the company to our location on 54th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, FL, clearing the land and building most of what you see today, all while continuing to hold himself and his growing staff to the highest standards. Shortly there after Allens parents, Lee and Dorothy came to work at the office with Lee working in the show room and maintaining the grounds, while Dorothy quickly became an instrumental figure in the office. Allen continued to grow the services that were to be provided to the customers and expanded the equipment and materials to be able to give the customers the most complete plumbing service experience that exists in the greater St. Petersburg, FL and Clearwater, FL area. In 1995, Allen lost his wife to cancer, and a few years later his parents retired. It was at this time that his son, Jamin came into the business as a full time employee. Jamin had many years of service prior whenever there was no school. Through a dedication to succeed, Jamin quickly gained the respect of the clients, and more importantly, the men he worked beside.
