Traditional Jewelers is located at the Fashion Island shopping center in Newport Beach, CA. Founded in 1975, Traditional Jewelers was purchased by Hyde Park Jewelers in 2012. The store recently moved to a new location within the shopping center, doubling its size and upgrading its brand presence. The store features four unparalleled shop-in-shops, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier and Officine Panerai. We continue the Traditional Jewelers legacy as a full-service jewelry store, offering a premier selection of diamonds, designer jewelry and timepieces, along with custom design and jewelry and watch repair services. Our History In 1975, Marion and Lula Halfacre opened their first jewelry store in Jackson, Mississippi. Four years later, they sold their portion of the business to their partner and moved to Newport Beach, California after purchasing their new store located in Newport Hills Center. This new jewelry store developed with great success and became the first "Cartier Corner" on the West Coast. As the Halfacres continued to add high-end lines to their collection, their business grew rapidly, necessitating expansion. In 1991, Traditional Jewelers moved to Fashion Island, where they remain today. The striking round structure that houses their gems is aptly called the "Jewel of the Court" because of its magnificent architecture. Here, Traditional Jewelers showcases 20 of the top timepiece brands and the finest jewelry designer names of the world. These brands include Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Breitling, Chanel, Shamballa, Roberto Coin and Kwiat Diamonds and many more. Traditional Jewelers also has two in-house jewelers and an in-store watchmaker. In 2007, Traditional Jewelers founder, Marion Halfacre, met with an untimely death. Since that time Lula Halfacre, and Traditional Jewelers professional staff have continued the traditions of service, quality, and integrity that have become synonymous with Traditional Jewelers. In 2012, Traditional Jewelers was sold to Hyde Park Jewelers, a Denver-based independent jeweler with additional locations in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Traditional Jewelers is looking forward to its next 30 years under this new leadership, continuing to give back to over 100 charities annually and lending its support to the local community.
